Work With Me
Most of what I do here is gear reviews, and that is the work I am actively looking for.
If you make something for drummers and you want it looked at properly by somebody who gigs it and then has to record and mix it, that is the conversation I want to have.
Gear reviews
Send me a product and I will give it an honest run and an honest verdict. Drums, cymbals, hardware, sticks, heads, electronics, audio gear, practice tools, software.
How I work – Everything gets used properly. In rehearsal, on stage and in the room where it matters, not just a tap on camera. – I hear it twice. Once as the drummer playing it, then again when I am mixing it. Most reviews only do one of those. – Honest verdicts, including the parts that don’t work. That is the entire value of the review to your customers. – Paid partnerships clearly disclosed, always. – Format, timing and deliverables agreed in advance. No surprises either way.
Smaller brands and independent shops
If you are just starting out, talk to me anyway.
I film stands at events like the UK Drum Show and I deliberately seek out the newer companies, because marketing is rarely a new company’s strong suit and a short video can put you in front of people who would otherwise walk past. Some of the most interesting gear I have handled came from people with no marketing budget whatsoever.
The same goes for independent UK drum shops. If you run one and you would like a video doing, I am genuinely up for it and I am not looking to be paid for it. Physical shops matter to the next generation of drummers and there are fewer of them every year. Happy to travel.
Injury and recovery products
A particular interest of mine. I have played through a thumb injury since 2011, so I understand this category from the inside rather than reading the box.
If you make something that helps drummers manage injury, grip or repetitive strain, I would genuinely like to see it. It is how I came to ToneAlly in the first place. I found it at a show in 2023, made a video, and ended up spending two years on the stand demonstrating it because I actually believed in the thing.
Collaborations
Drum covers, playthroughs, joint videos, channel collaborations, guest spots. If you are a creator with an idea, I am interested, especially anything more fun than another thumbnail with a shocked face on it.
Playing and studio work
Not what I am chasing, but the door is open. Depping, one-off dates, session and recording work. If it is interesting, ask.

How arrangements work
Every product and every brand is different, so I would rather have the conversation than publish a price list.
Broadly, it depends on whether the product stays with me or goes back, and how much work the video involves. Both arrangements are perfectly normal and I am happy to talk either through. Tell me what you have in mind and we will find something that suits us both.
And occasionally I will simply buy something, love it, and make a video anyway. That does happen.
